Taylor Morrison Foundation Present Funds to HomeAid Houston

Taylor Morrison, huge supporters of giving back to the community, and long- time donors to HomeAid Houston, recently presented a check for $4500 to Carole Brady, executive director of HomeAid from the Taylor Morrison Foundation.  The check was spearheaded for future HomeAid construction projects that provide transitional shelters for non-profit non-profit care providers. HomeAid is a charity of the Greater Houston Builders Association.

“HomeAid is one of Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes’ charities of choice,” said Bill Dalton, vice president of Land Division. “Our organization has shared the HomeAid vision to better the lives of men, women, children and veterans facing homelessness since HomeAid was started 17 years ago.  When the opportunity to provide funds to help realize that vision arises, we are honored and proud to contribute.”

Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes has also provided funds to HomeAid through the Benefit Homes Project, a 40 year-old charity of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).  Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes built their Rosebay Plan in their community of Grand Vista for the project in 2018.  Taylor Morrison donated the construction management, solicited donations of materials and labor from their vendors and also donated the homesite. Once the home was sold, proceeds from the sale were divided between HomeAid and the GHBA supported charity Operation Finally Home.

HomeAid has benefitted from Taylor Morrison’s “hands on” approach to supporting causes in the community.  Bill Dalton is a HomeAid board member and past president of the non-profit.  He has also chaired the agency’s Project Selection Committee for several years.

“Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes continues to make a difference in the lives of dozens of people experiencing a variety of set-backs in their lives,” said Carole Brady.  “With their continued support both financially and on the board, HomeAid is able to provide safe shelters for non-profit care providers to offer hope and help for our fellow citizens.”
