HomeAid Houston, David Weekley Homes, and Tilson Home Corporation built 6 new cottages for Wellsprings Village. Each home was built with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a common living and dining area, kitchen, laundry facility, and study. The project added 48 beds.
Wellsprings Village provides safe and stable housing for women facing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence situations, or recovering from the devastation caused by substance abuse, poverty, or illiteracy. The Wellsprings Village campus consists of eight facilities, including housing and administrative space. Housing is supplemented with services and programs, giving residents the opportunity to become empowered and self-sufficient. Services include counseling, job skills training, educational programs, and career workshops. In time, these tools help break the cycle of homelessness, abuse, poverty, addiction, and illiteracy, as well as increase the resident's self-worth and self-determination.
