HomeAid Houston provided and replaced an existing roof on one of Vita Living's group homes, located in the Spring Branch neighborhood. This is HomeAid Houston's first project with Vita Living.
Vita Living provides long-term, comprehensive care and support for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Vita Living is committed to creating a happy and healthy environment for the residents they serve. Vita Living consists of 18 group homes that support up to 78 residents. Each home is designed to accommodate the day to day challenges individuals with IDD face, such as bathing, eating, and mobility, but still feels like a real home with bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, and back yards. This helps create and maintain a warm, genuine, and home-like environment. Specially equipped vans transport residents from their group home to the Vita Living Center each day to participate in enrichment programs, such as games, crafts, and social interaction.
