SEARCH Homeless Services
HomeAid Houston and Frankel Building Group teamed together to completely remodel the client intake area at SEARCH's downtown facility. The project included installing a new, wheel-chair accessible reception desk, strategically built with shelving, cabinetry, and computer trays. The remodel also provided a fresh coat of paint in the main area, including an accent wall, and the exterior hallway.
Today, SEARCH Homeless Services provides hope, opportunity, and transformation to homeless men, women, and children. SEARCH grew out of an ecumenical group of churches and synagogues who believed that individuals facing homelessness not only need a bed and a meal, they need a future. Its supporting services include mobile outreach - finding people living on the streets and connecting to needed help, employment assistance, and safe, affordable housing. SEARCH's services are designed to help individuals create and sustain stable, productive futures. SEARCH Homeless Services also offers an early childhood development program through SEARCH’s House of Tiny Treasures, which was Houston’s first nationally accredited early childhood development center dedicated to serving homeless children and families.
