HomeAid Houston and Ryland Homes partnered to complete a large development project for Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services’ Houston location. Four brand new duplexes were built to house 7 single mothers, their children, and a live-in social worker.
Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services provide Christ-centered programs throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Missouri. The agency offers the Single Parent Family Program which provides transitional housing and a warm, nurturing environment to help foster the growth and healing of single parent families. Families facing crisis are referred to Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services by local churches or social service agencies. Upon arrival, the future residents are screened and commit to work toward personal development by participating in programs, such as regular meetings with case managers, family therapy, and faith development. The agency also assists residents find educational programs that may lead to future employment opportunities.
