Gracewood
In 2010, HomeAid Houston, along with Brothers Strong, completed Houston’s first ANSI-approved green remodel for Gracewood. The project included converting an existing office building into Gracewood's "House of Promise," an energy efficient home that provided living space for 4 women and their children.
Gracewood, a Children at Heart ministry, provides housing, hope, and help for single mothers and their children who are experiencing crisis situations or other hardships that may result in homelessness. Gracewood offers a safe-haven and a loving environment for residents to focus on personal development through counseling, job training, and educational classes.
