Freedom Place
HomeAid Houston, First American Fire Protection, and Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling partnered to complete the first project for Freedom Place. The project included installing a fire suppression system that was required for the agency's recovery center and renovating the existing "Caretaker's Cottage" by repairing the drywall and other miscellaneous tasks.
Freedom Place, an Arrow Child & Family Ministries program, provides girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking the opportunity and support to restore their lives through comprehensive care and services. When girls arrive at Freedom Place, a team of on-site medical, mental health, and education professionals begin comprehensive evaluations and prepare personalized plans of care. The individualized comprehensive recovery program is approximately one year. Once completed, if possible and appropriate, efforts are made to reunite her with immediate family. If that is not possible, arrangements are made for foster care within a network of Christian families. If she is approaching 18, she is transitioned into independent living.
