Boys and Girls Country
HomeAid Houston and Partners in Building, Inc. joined together to build a brand new 8,000 square foot cottage in Hockley, Texas for Boys & Girls Country. The cottage, named Joanne H. Watford Cottage, is the first of three cottages HomeAid Houston has built for the agency.
Boys and Girls Country provides a Christian home for children who come from families in crisis. The agency serves as a beacon of hope for families and their children in times of hardship, offering the children a reliable home and support. The Boys and Girls Country’s main campus is made up of a network of 11 cottages, housing up to 8 children per cottage. The children live with married "Teaching Parents" and any children they may have, as well as two single "Teaching Parents" who raise the children as their own. The campus can accommodate 88 children, ages 5 to 18.
