HomeAid Partners with Tri Pointe and HomeAid America on Outreach Project
Tri Pointe Homes recently partnered with HomeAid Houston’s Outreach Program on an apparel donation to Fort Bend Women’s Center (FBWC). Tri Pointe, formerly named Trendmaker Homes, donated dozens of Trendmaker branded polos and shirts that were delivered by HomeAid to PennyWise, FBWC’s resale store. Donations directly support FBWC’s work in three ways, by providing families with clothing, furniture and household goods to help them start new, violence-free lives. The resale store offers quality, a reasonably priced product, and when items are sold in the store, that money is directed back into funding life-saving programs.
HomeAid also teamed up with HomeAid America to deliver 250 BOMBA socks to both Vita Living and Santa Maria Hostel. Each year HomeAid America receives donated BOMBA socks and selects various HomeAid chapters to identify the agencies they work with as recipients.
“We are grateful for the BOMBA sock donation to the Vita Living clients,” said Joseph Cooper, Vita Living CEO. “Most of our residents would face homelessness or incarceration without our services. Our goal is for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to have a safe, satisfying and meaningful life in our community. BOMBA not only gave our clients socks that they needed, they also gave our clients a sense of community support—that folks in our city care about them.”
Vita Living’s mission is to provide lifelong services and support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote personal growth toward a safe, satisfying, and meaningful life in their community through three core programs. They ensure this mission through three core programs including Residential Services, Day Program, and Case Management Services.
Since 1950, Santa Maria has provided critical and life changing services for low-income, indigent women age 18 and above and their children from Harris and the surrounding 12 counties, by empowering them and their families to lead healthy, successful, productive and self-fulfilling lives.
“HomeAid is extremely honored to have Tri Pointe and HomeAid America’s partnership with BOMBA Socks to help further our Outreach Program,” said Carole Brady, executive director of HomeAid Houston. “These donations are critical to these valuable organizations who are changing lives on a daily basis. We can’t thank Tri Pointe, HomeAid America and BOMBA enough for their contributions.”
