HomeAid Houston, a 501 (c) (3) charity of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), has been fortunate throughout the years to have the support of local businesses through the GHBA who are called HomeAid Heroes. This is a unique program that offers companies the opportunity to give back to the Houston community in a way that best suits their business.
As a HomeAid Hero, the company decides how they would like to contribute. Heroes can either donate a preset amount every time they celebrate a business milestone, whether it’s the sale of a home, a window installation, closing of a mortgage, etc., or simply donate a certain amount each quarter or year to HomeAid. Funds raised go toward HomeAid’s major construction or remodeling projects.
HomeAid honors their Heroes with recognition plaques that their industry peers will see as they are displayed at the GHBA. “These companies and individuals who make generous contributions are our HomeAid Heroes,” explained James Miller, president of HomeAid. “Their willingness to share funds they’ve raised within their trade, is indicative of their unwavering commitment and support to better the lives of the men, women children and veterans HomeAid serves. We are grateful to every one of these organizations and individuals who continue to participate, and to us we see them as Super Heroes for the homeless.”
This list of HomeAid Heroes continues to grow. Three new Heroes joined the program recently, they are C3 Building Solutions, Houston Window Fashions, and Zonda.
“HomeAid is grateful to our HomeAid Heroes as we get ready to enter a new year,” said Carole Brady, executive director of HomeAid Houston. “Every one of these organizations understands the importance of serving our community by giving back through various ways. HomeAid Heroes is just one way that will help us launch into 2022 with new projects that will make a difference.”
