On June 20, campus expansion continued on the first phase of Angel Reach Village in Conroe, where HomeAid Houston, the Greater Houston Builders Association and Builder Captain LEVELTX completed the construction of three duplexes of six units to serve homeless youth who have timed out of Foster Care or were released early from Foster Care Programs.
A total of 16 duplexes have been completed for up to 30 residents, more than doubling the previous capacity of Angel Reach.
Angel Reach is a faith-based nonprofit organization that helps children and youth between the ages of 16-24 achieve their full potential in spite of the obstacles placed on them by broken families and a broken system.

Executive Director of Angel Reach Dan Alexander said, “Angel Reach Village is a product of fantastic partnerships. HomeAid Houston and the GHBA know how to do partnership with refined excellence. Each vendor that worked on the project from sheetrock to windows now shares in the great success that our clients will have as they move out of homelessness and into a productive life, the life they were created to live.”
A major partner in this project was GHBA member and Builder Captain LEVELTX, a residential and commercial construction company based in The Woodlands. Eduardo Lopez of LEVELTX said, “LEVELTX is thrilled to be able to help the Angel Reach project in a meaningful way and to support HomeAid Houston.”
HomeAid Houston’s core construction programs facilitate the construction or renovation of homeless shelters utilizing the pro bono construction resources of members of the GHBA and its trades to save homeless service providers from 20%-100% of construction costs. Since 2003, HomeAid Houston has completed 78 projects which house over 5,000 homeless men, women, and children annually.
