HomeAid Houston has for the sixth year, been the beneficiary of the ARCXIS (formerly DPIS) charity crawfish boil called “Pinchin’ Tails for HomeAid Houston”. The event this year raised $32,000 for HomeAid’s mission, ‘to help people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, build new lives through construction, community engagement and education.’
“ARCXIS was proud to host the 6th annual 2022 Pinchin’ Tails,” said Brannon King, ARCXIS Builder Services. “With the help of our sponsors and cook teams we were excited to raise the $32,000 for HomeAid. The event was a great success providing a night of fun, networking, and enjoying delicious Cajun food our cook teams prepared, all while supporting a great cause.”
The event hosted seven cooking teams that competed for first through third place awards in several traditional Cajun categories that were Boiled Crawfish, Etouffee, Jambalaya and Cocktail Sauce. Adding to the pressure was a competition for the Best in Show (Best booth) award. Over 3,000 pounds of crawfish were consumed while guests enjoyed live music by the StringBenders and numerous family-friendly games.
“The ARCXIS Pinchin’ Tails for HomeAid event is becoming legendary for its family fun and out- of -this -world flavors,” said Nicole Jacob, president of HomeAid Houston. “HomeAid thanks Brannon King, the event chairman and his assistants, sponsors, cooking teams and volunteers who made it so successful.”
