Texas Baptist Children's Home
In 2015, HomeAid Houston traveled to Austin, Texas to complete a project for Texas Baptist Children's Home. HomeAid Houston and Ryland Homes built the "HomeAid Family Cottage," a 7-bedroom, 7,100 square foot cottage for mothers and children facing homelessness. HomeAid Austin would continue serving the agency.
Texas Baptist Children's Home, a Children at Heart Ministry, serves families working through crisis in the Austin area community of Round Rock. The cottages provide a warm, home-like environment, accommodating multiple families for three months to up to two years. The program provides a place for single mothers to stay with their children while working to complete their education or improve their job skills.
